Elements and Performance Criteria

  1. Determine job requirements
  2. Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
  3. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
  4. Identify job requirements from specifications, job sheets or work instructions and determine sequence of operations
  5. Prepare for filling/sanding/ grinding operations
  6. Select appropriate fillers and abrasive materials and prepare to suit job requirements and required surface finish
  7. Select appropriate equipment and accessories and set up ready for operation
  8. Perform filling, sanding, fairing and grinding operations
  9. Use power tools to optimise equipment and material use
  10. Check surfaces to ensure compliance to specifications
  11. Make adjustments and corrections as required
